We looked for an interesting, relaxing day in the desert and found this one. Reviews can be so over the top, but we really recommend Desert Rose and Asif. Very friendly and personal guide and service. Good communication for pick up. We made the necessary touristic stop and visited abandoned village of Kuldhara of which the story is interesting but the view is okay. Next we went in the other direction as other tourists and went to a lake were the locals get water. If you are interested in local life and cultures, this is the trip to take. Our guide Asif knows lots of details and stories. Next we had an amazing camel ride for over a hour. The desert here is partly sand hills but mostly you see some small bushes and cactus around. Wild animals like gazelle and desert fox came by. When reaching more sand dunes we stopped and had chai in dessert made on a small wood fire. Sunset was watched on the dune. It was a bit chilly so bring proper clothes in January. At the camp we got our tent, rather big and with good a huge bed. We were then invited for watching live music, dance (and dance along) and really nice food. Next morning we woke up to meet the sun and had chai served as well as extensive breakfast. It really felt relaxing and we would have loved to stay another day and night. Maybe net time.

Excellent experience with very good service. Hospitality is beyond words. Must-visit. Food served was excellent and the cultural program was enjoyable. Guide Asif were very funny and always eager to help. Camel safari were long and very excellent too, The feeling of home which the hosts delivered, They always were eager to help us. Highly recommend, must visit once in life.

Just did the Day Safari Sunset and Culture Show with Asif. The best guide in Jaisalmer. Very informative and easy to understand. He made sure that my needs are attended like providing water and he takes good pictures too. Will definitely recommend!

Perfect experience The desert camp is situated about 400 m from the highway. The arrangement of the rooms is very nice, with the well-lit tents provided with all necessary amenities. The food and cultural programmes are very nice, the artists being very skillful. The dinner and breakfast provided, though vegetarian and of limited variety, were tasty and fresh. The camel safari arranged by the camp was nice, with beautiful sunrise views along the way. The camp also organised for us a private night safari and bonfire. We went into the desert at night where a fire was arranged along with seating and blankets. They even brought along the musicians from camp and held a small concert for us. Once in a lifetime experience! We really couldn't ask for more for our 2d tour in the Thar Desert! Starting with Assim, the best tour guide who made sure that we were always comfortable and happy, and continuing with the staff of the desert camp and the camel guide who were always smiling and making sure that we had the best experience possible. I would definitely recommend it
